TV Talk! Spoilers Ahead!!!!

It's TV Talk time again this week:

I am linking up with Jenny again this week at lovemyrandomness: http://lovemyrandomness.blogspot.com/2015/06/tv-talk-tuesday_30.html

Spoilers ahead so you have been warned!!!

Tryant:  This week's episode was good as was the first one.  I didn't think Barry was going to be killed, especially when I saw they lead the guy out with a bag over his head.  Glad they didn't kill him but I hope Barry gets a shave and a hair cut soon.......and speaking of hair cuts, why did Jamal shave?  He looked meaner with hair!  LOL!!  It looks like Jamal's son is going to play a bigger part this year.  I'm glad, I think he has a good story line.  But back to Barry's....well not Barry's hanging.  It was sad to see Leila sad over Barry's death, or what they all think is Barry's death. You could tell Leila loves him,  he was her first love, and she is very very good at keeping that from Jamal.  Think Jamal's son will end up being actually Barry's son?  We don't know yet if that time line works or not since we've only had some flashbacks but it could be!!!! Obviously leaving Barry in the desert is going to come back to haunt Jamal.  I can't wait to see Molly find out Barry isn't really dead.  They have all done such a good job with the emotional scenes.  Molly breaking down in Barry's car, I got teary!  So do you think Molly will go back once she finds out Barry is alive?

The Brink:  I have to say, I normally don't watch 30 minute shows.  This one goes by fast and is pretty fast paced so far.  And FUNNY!!! (HBO) Of course, with Jack Black, you expect that!  I am LOVING it!!!  I love that Walter, Mr. Secretary, is so sex crazed!  Even in the middle of trying to hold off a war, he is trying to hook up, or order lunch!!  I really see this show earning some awards- very well done.  I loved Zeke and his co-pilot - mixing up the pills during an air flight....the air flight that is supposed to blow up the nukes!!  The puke in the aircraft as something I could have NOT seen....as I am sure they wished too!  I think they are in a wee bit of trouble!!!!

Pretty Little Liars:  This is always a show I watch on DVR, mainly because I can never remember when it is in season, out of season, or when it comes on.  I don't think I am caught up yet.  So let me see if I get this right, the guy that held the girls is Charles.  Charles is Allison's brother, but supposedly dead.  I start to get confused, so is he dead, not dead, or someone else took his name?  It has been interesting to see what happened to the girls when they were locked up.  And of course to see them struggling with it all now.

Aquarius:  I thought it was kinda boring this week, but I guess we need weeks like that to get all the story.  I want to see more of "the family" and to see how Charlie builds his family.

Mr. Robot:  One show in, and I'm still watching.  It is a little odd, slow going sometimes, and I can see where maybe this is one that is going to flip flop sides so many times, I lose interest.  But we'll see.  I am hoping Elliot becomes less weird and anti social and easier to relate to.  And what is up with Mr. Robot??  Is he good, is he bad?  Is he being controlled by the 1% or trying to stop the 1%.....see I'm confused, but will watch again.

Last Ship:  This week's was good.  Not a whole lot of action, but the crew found some of their families.  The ship teamed up with more forces, so maybe some new characters coming.  And obviously we need to be scared of the weird group that think because they aren't sick, they are the chosen ones.  I'm glad the captain sent his kids and dad to stay in the US- he certainly can't hook up with his kids there, and of course we all want to see some hook ups!!!!

Falling Skies:  I liked that the skidders were a threat again, even if it was short lived.  I didn't like how easy the OverLord was to kill, after all they are supposed to be so smart.  Gotta wonder who was showing Tom were they are?  I'm not sure this season is going to be as good as the past, but I hope since it is their last season, they wrap it up nicely.  And I really really hope all this is not some one's dream!!!!  That would make me mad!!!

Humans:  I saw this DVRd last night but I haven't watched it yet.  I'm gonna give it a try.  I'll let you know next week what I think.

Zoo:  I can't wait for this one!  Is it this week??!!!

So now comes the other part, what reruns do you watch regularly?  I tape  Friends and Walking Dead - love both of those, I can rewatch them over and over!  That's it for this week!
Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking outside the box for an UNUSUAL Wedding Card using Barnyard Babies!

As most of my regular blog readers know, I like the unusual.  I had to do a wedding card for a couple getting married......tomorrow.  Nothing like waiting till the last minute right??!!  This is not your typical wedding.  It is VERY southern.  Cookout, people getting together to celebrate the Bride and Groom but nothing fancy, nothing over the top, just good food and good times.  A fancy wedding card seemed.......well, it just doesn't fit the couple!  The Bride is into horses, and the Groom is a dairy farmer.  I couldn't think of a better opportunity to use my new Barnyard Babies stamp set!!!  I love all these little farm animals.  I wasn't sure if I could make it work though, yes, the set has a cow and a horse but, I still needed to tie it into a wedding somehow.  I was going through the new Stampin' Up catalog and saw the Barnyard Babies stamp set....and looked more closely at the example.  I knew it could work for a wedding!  I needed to CASE this card for my wedding card!
This card is from the catalog and my inspiration for the wedding card:
While the card is a CASE from the catalog, I think the idea for using the Barnyard Babies for a wedding card is crazy unusual!!

I liked the sentiment straight from the same stamp set because everyone hopes for an award winning wedding day!  Perfect!!!

I also used the challenge from http://fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com
The challenge this week was to use the new in colors.
That was the easy part, these are wonderful colors!  The hard part was trying to decide which ones to use!  I thought maybe the cucumber crush for the base of the card, since I used it to color the grass, but it was to matchy matchy to me, yes, I'm pretty sure that's a thing.  ;)  While I love cucumber crush as a color, I thought it might make my card to bright.......for my wedding card.  I wanted unusual but I didn't want it to be over the top SCREAM at you loud!!  LOL!!  I settled on Mint Macaron, which to me reminds me a Bridal party color.  I paired it with Tip Top Taupe which is such a nice color, it has quickly become a favorite that I grab often!

The original card just used the horse, but I wanted the horse and the cow.  I thought about using the goat as well, but I liked how the cow and the horse looked together so I stopped there.  And you might be thinking I have lost my mind here, and now I am thinking about a goat too!!!  Here's the back story:
When my husband and I got married some odd 18 years ago.....18 right??  I'm so bad at that....ssssshhhh don't tell my hubby, I'm pretty sure I never had the Bride gene and still don't!!!  Anyways, some odd 18 years ago, Clint and I got married.  The boy that is getting married tomorrow was a lot younger than us, his dad worked for us.  He worked for us then and works for us now.  We got married, this young man's dad came to our wedding.  He didn't get us a typical gift.  A couple of weeks later, he showed up at our house with a goat.....at 11:30 at night.  Yes, he got us, well me, a baby goat for our wedding!  I'll pause and let you giggle.......

He got us a goat because when Clint and I were dating, Clint had goats.  One of his goats had twins, and I used to sit in the barn and play with the baby goats.  If you haven't seen baby goat videos...after you finish reading this blog today, go to youtube and search baby goats in Pjs!!!!  CUTE!!!  Back to my very LONG story.....he got us, well me really, a baby goat because by the time we got married, our baby goats had grown up and I had been saying I missed the baby goats.....so he got me a baby goat.  His son, the boy getting married ,went to the animal auction with him to get the goat.  He named him Marshmallow.  The next day when Bruce came into work, he asked me what I thought about my wedding gift.  Big laughs all around. He asked me what I was going to name him, and I told him his son already named him Marshmallow, so it stayed Marshmallow!  There's my goat wedding gift story!!
So that's why I am pretty sure, this Bride and Groom will love this card!! ;)

I used Stazon ink and Watercolor paper to stamp the animals.  Then with my aqua painter, I used my regular stamp pads to watercolor the image.  Finding the right color was a little trial and error.  I practice on my scraps what colors I wanted to use.  Watercoloring is very forgiving, if you mess up or make the color to dark, you can keep applying more water with your aqua painter to dilute the color and spread the ink around.  That's why watercolor paper is so important.  It can take this kind of water without warping!

I used the Congrats! stamp from the Playful Pennants set.  I always save sets like this, it feels good to grab out a retired set and give it another inking!!!

I added some sequins that I had for some bling, after all, it is a wedding card!

I used a stamp for the inside from a really old set: Congratulations. What a great font on this set!  I also used my custom family stamp to sign the card!

I used Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to add a little splash to the background.

I love how the card turned out. I used my MISTI to get perfect placement of my animals and grass and blue ribbons.  I got to watercolor.  I had fun watercoloring.  I do admit, this was my first attempt at watercoloring!  Do you enjoy watercoloring?  I can see myself doing it more in the future!!
Thanks for stopping by today and thanks even more for making it through this LONG blog post about ONE card!!!

Beach Puppy Layout Using Little Letters Framelits

Sharing a quick layout using the Maritime DSP.  I really love this paper, sadly it is retired now.  I loved the colors in it, I never would have put night of navy and coastal cabana together!

I used the Little Letters framelits to make my title.  These will help me use less stickers for titles and coordinate my colors even more!

Our sweet puppy Levi!  We all love him so much!!!
We take him everywhere with us, even to the beach!  My husband calls it snuggle week- he isn't really a "beach" person.  He goes for the kids and I.  After working everyday in the hot humid heat, he just doesn't like to sit on the beach.  He DOES enjoy sitting in peace and quiet on his computer, snuggling with the puppy all day.  Perfect vacay for him!!!!
