Washi Tape Halloween Card- One layer

Happy Monday!  I had a busy weekend- got a little bit of crafting done and some shopping, plus soccer games and laundry!!!  I am working on a HUGE post coming up later this week or first of next week!  Stay tuned!!
Today, I wanted to share a one layer Halloween card.  I love Halloween.  For this card, I wanted it to be SIMPLE.  And to challenge myself to use a non Halloween stamp set to make a card.  I used the Tape it and Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  The word stamp is from last year's Holiday catalog, Border Banter.  I love that just by using Halloween colors, this card works for Halloween.

Simple and clean!  You could also use a corner rounder to change the look of the card.  This card is a good mailing card because it is totally flat.
What projects are you working on right now?
Hope everyone has a good week!

Pointsetta Flower Joyfulful Christmas Card & Vellum & Edgelits!

Happy Friday!  Today I am sharing another Christmas card. I have to say when the Holiday catalog came out, I passed over the Joyful Christmas stamp .  I shrugged it off as a stamp that wasn't my style. Then, I saw some GREAT cards done with it.  I gave it a second look!  I am so glad I did!!!

This stamp set has some great lines for fussy cutting!  I love the sentiments!

I used my edgelits again!  I love having some of the DSP peeking out the bottom of the card!  Isn't that cute!!!  I also dug out my vellum.  I have to admit, I started out using my window sheets for this card, but when I used them, it wasn't quite the look I wanted.  Then I remembered my vellum!!!  I haven't used it much lately, but vellum is a GREAT accent!  I love the frosted look when it is embossed!  This was EXACTLY what I need to set off my Cherry Cobbler pointsetta!  Have used used your vellum lately??  If so, how??!!!!  Leave me a comment and let me know!!!
I used my new Encore gold pad.  I really like this!  I added some pearls to the center as an accent- I like how they matched the vellum.

After I fussy cut out my pointsetta, I used dimensionals to give it some definition off the page.  I love how simple this card is but has a lot of great accents!!!  This is one of my favorites!
What do you think of the Joyful Christmas stamp??!!

Misting with templates!

I love love love misting!!!  Templates make it so much fun.  I got a couple of templates a while back and got a chance to play with them some!  This one is a distressed chevron pattern.  Since I never get to use pink on a layout (with three boys), an Easter layout was the PERFECT excuse to use PINK!!!  Easter is pinky, right?!!!

The glitter letter were perfect for Easter too!

I loved these chevron banner overlays!

Overall, a fun, spring layout!  What color do you use the LEAST in your scrapbooking or cards?  For me, it is pink.
Leave me a comment and let me know!!

Circle Santa's List Washi Card

Can you believe that I have never made a circle card???  I had to try one. I limited myself to a circle that would still fit into an A2 envelope.  I used my Circle Framelits to cut the card.  Circle framelits are one of the best sets.  They are so useful!!!

I layered the circle with Season of Style Washi tape .  I love this washi tape!  Since I had just a little bit of room, this was a perfect way to add some background to my card!  I have almost used all of my washi tape!  I'm gonna need to buy some more!!!

On the back of the card, I added another washi tape that I had in my stash.

Since I wanted to mail this card, I made the top of my circle a little wider so it would be sturdier.  I love the Santa stamp, it is one of my favorites!
Have you tried a circle card?

Wantable Box - September 2013

I got my Wantable box this past weekend.  This is fast becoming my favorite subscription box!   I love that I can totally customize it, by my questionnaire online, I can exclude items I don't want in my box.  I don't like bronzer, so I have it on my dislikes!  I never get any of my dislikes!  LOVE that!!
See this link if you are interested:

This month's box had Eyeliner from Caitlyn- I really like this brand!  This is the second one I got- two different colors.  Love them. They wear nicely all day long and are easy to apply.
I got an eyeshadow from Bombshell.  It is a weird gold color.  This one looks pretty off in the jar but looks awesome on!!!!
I also got some lavender powder.  This is a brightening powder.  It is really nice!!!   It is great to apply with the angled foundation brush.  I love getting new brushes!!!!  I got a small sample of skin cream from Skiin.  This is the one bomb of the box.  I get dry skin.  There are a lot of creams that don't work for me.  This was one right away that didn't work.  Someone else might have better luck with it though.

The products are well packaged in egg shell foam.  I love Wantable!!!  Have you tried their box yet?

Sympathy card using Simply Sketched

There is never a GREAT sympathy card because they are needed for such a sad occasion.  I always recommend making sympathy cards in advance of any need.  Simply Sketched is one of the best sets!  Simply Sketched is a hostess set.  Anyone with an $150 order can be a hostess!  Don't forget to get this stamp with your next order!

For this card, I wanted to keep it simple and clean.  I used my Simply Scored Diagonal Plate to create the lines in my base layer.  This was a great way to add detail to my card but keep it simple!

I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set as well.  And cut out my sentiment using the Deco Label Framelits .  I used the new In Colors, Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, and Crisp Cantaloupe for my card.   I really love these colors!  They are so bright and crisp!

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel LOVE- Bella!!!

For those that have seen me lately, I have a shadow!  Bella.  She is the sweetest!!!  She has been with us now for almost two months.  She is settling in with us.  She tolerates the younger boys carrying her and smothering her with kisses!!!  She loves Kyle as he something stays home with her.  She is still shy around my husband but is coming around.  He has taken to giving her freeze dried liver treats (puppy crack) to her if she jumps up in his chair or lap.  She is learning that Clint is a good thing!!!!  She has started snuggling with him in his chair and has even fallen asleep with him!  She is still very much a mommy's girl!  But she is with me almost 100% of the time.
Now on to the pictures:

This is Bella at soccer practice for my older son.  We find a shady spot and hang out! Bella does this weird lip thing when she is trying to figure out something or not sure of what is going on.  Makes me giggle!!!
Windy day!!!

Bella goes for a ride in my big soccer bag!!!  Yes, she lets me put her IN the bag and carry her back to the car!!!  I secretly thinks she loves it!!!  She sits very still!!!

Enjoying the pretty weather!

Caught!!!!  The cat, Sammy and Bella napping on the back of my chair.  Ignore the blanket...I had to cover my chair because Bella roots and digs to find a good spot- I don't want her to rip my cushions. The blanket fixes that!!!

Bella napping.  What she does best!!!!
Love her!!!!
